This is a transcript of an oral history interview with John W. Bricker. Bricker began the interview with information relating to his personal and professional life prior to the Eisenhower administration. Next, he discussed the 1952 Presidential campaign and election. A large portion of the interview was devoted to his proposed constitutional amendment on United States treaties with foreign governments, the Bricker Amendment. Additional subjects in the interview included Bricker's career in the Senate, his time as governor of Ohio, the Atomic Energy Commission, American involvement in Vietnam, and Republican party politics. Persons discussed at some length included Herbert Brownell, John Foster Dulles, Joseph McCarthy, and Robert A. Taft. An index to personal names is included at the end of the transcript.
